By Sarah Smithon Friday, 29 Jun 2007 A lucky bingo jackpot winner says that he plans to treat himself to a new car following a monumental win.
After years of playing bingo games at the Gala Club in Wigan, his local bingo hall, the unnamed man finally struck gold when his numbers came up.
The 64-year-old walked away with a life-changing £100,000 in his pocket and has plans to use the money to fuel his obsession with cars.
"I'm still trying to get my head round it," he told the National Bingo Game website.
"I stood on a garage forecourt the other day, looking at all these new cars and thinking I can afford any one of these now, but it still hasn't really sunk in."
The man, who works as a butcher, will need to get a rather large vehicle if he is to ferry his entire family around as he has four children, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Aside from the car, he also said that he plans to treat the family.
