By Penny Walker on Thursday, 22 Feb 2007 A lucky bingo player from Bexleyheath has scooped a £51,530 jackpot while playing at her local Gala Bingo club.
The 67-year-old, who has four children and seven grandchildren, described how she had been playing bingo three times a week for a number of years, National Bingo Game reports.
"I got the shakes when I realised how much I had won," she said.
"It was so unexpected and I was completely shocked."
All the other players applauded and cheered when it was announced she had won the prize, she added.
The lucky winner now plans to go on holiday to celebrate, as well as treating her family with her winnings.
Gala Bingo recently reported that 47-year-old Patricia Nunn, a shop assistant from Horsham, recently won over £201,000 while playing the National Bingo Game.
Ms Nunn, who also won the club's regional and house prizes, described her win as "wonderful".
