By Sarah Smithon Friday, 30 Nov 2007 Celebrity gossip magazine Heat has issued an official apology to glamour model Jordan this week after it took a cheap shot at her disabled son.
The general public along with the top-heavy star took offence after the magazine published a sticker of five-year-old Harvey, who suffers from bloating due to a medical condition, with the caption "Harvey wants to eat me".
Harvey, the son of footballer Dwight Yorke, was born with a rare hormone disorder which has caused growth problems and left him visually impaired.
Editor-in-chief of Heat magazine, Mark Frith, said: "I would like to unreservedly apologise for any offence caused."
The magazine has also written personally to Jordan, also known as Katie Price, and her husband Peter Andre expressing its apologies in a bid to avoid legal action.
Jordan, who has promised ex-pop star beefcake Pete a breast reduction for Christmas, was not the only person to take offence at the magazine's poor taste the Press Complaints Commission received over 30 complaints about the sticker.
Heat has become a staple in the nation's magazine stands for its celebrity scoops and features such as What Were They Thinking? where typically beautiful celebs are caught out in cringe-worthy fashion faux pas.
