By Sarah Smithon Monday, 13 Nov 2006 Jude Law and Sienna Miller have finally decided to call it a day and split up, according to a source close to the couple.
Law, 33, and Miller, 24, first met on the set of Alfie and were engaged in 2004, but an affair between the London-born actor and his children's nanny, Daisy Wright, a year later led to the pair breaking up, People magazine reports.
Despite briefly reuniting, the source told the magazine that Law's "devotion" to his children has strained their relationship, although they deny anyone else is involved.
A friend of the actor told People: "It's a mutual decision. They have definitely come to the end of the road. They tried to make it work but it failed."
Law's relationship with his ex-wife Sadie Frost, with whom he has three children; Rafferty, ten, Iris, six and Rudy, is reported to be "friendly", although the pair are not said to be getting back together.
Following the split, a friend of Sienna's said that the couple now "have different needs", the Daily Mirror reports.
