By Becky Turner on Wednesday, 6 Dec 2006 A 30-year-old mum from Leeds has scooped a £26,498 jackpot at the Gala Bingo club in Stonebridge Lane, Farnley.
Mother of three, Theresa Richards, shared the £50,000 National bingo Game jackpot with another player, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
Explaining her surprise at winning the national jackpot, Theresa said that she thought she had only won the house prize.
Theresa now plans to buy a new three piece suite, to pay off her debts and to go on holiday.
Josie Merrick, deputy manager at the club, said: "She was in shock. We had to pour brandy down her neck to get her to sign the claims form!"
The National Bingo Game offers prizes of £50,000 on Mondays and Tuesdays, £100,000 on Saturdays and £200,000 on Sundays.
Each Friday, the Big Number game takes pace across the country with a bonus jackpot of £100,000 for players calling house within 46 numbers.
