By Becky Turner on Tuesday, 27 Feb 2007 A retired 69-year-old man from Lincoln scooped a £52,600 jackpot while playing bingo at his local hall.
The man, who has two children and three grandchildren, had also won £1,000 a few days earlier at the Gala Bingo club in Saltergate, where he plays several times a week, the National Bingo Game reports.
Although his medical conditions prevent him from taking a trip away, the winner still plans to celebrate by treating his wife and daughter to a holiday.
Explaining why he has attended the gala club for over 26 years, the man said: "It's a good club. It's near to my home and I've got friends there.
"I will definitely keep going."
In related news, Gala Bingo will be hosting The Big Night Out to help raise money in aid of Comic Relief on March 9th.
Visitors can play the Comic Relief charity game for £1, with all money remaining after the prize pot being donated to the charity.
