By Becky Turner on Friday, 16 Jun 2006 Bingo wins don't come much bigger than the one enjoyed by a woman in Blackpool over the weekend.
She was visiting her daughter and she joined the Palladium Bingo Club in Waterloo Road. Her daughter's 40th birthday was the next day and they had the added joy of finding out that she was pregnant, the National Bingo Game Association reports.
Then they returned to the bingo club and enjoyed a huge £181,000 win, which they split equally between themselves. "I will never forget my weekend in Blackpool!" the lady exclaimed.
She has been playing bingo ever since she was a teenager but up until Saturday her biggest win had been £300. "I always thought I had no chance of winning that much money but I have been proved wrong," she said.
She plans to take her family on a holiday and do some work around the house with her winnings.
