By Becky Turner on Tuesday, 31 Oct 2006 Lottery winner Jimmy Goodwin has said he does not know how he will spend his massive £1.2 million win.
The Manx Independent reports that Jimmy, 62, was gobsmacked after matching five main numbers and one lucky star number in the EuroMillions draw last Friday. He banked a total of £1,228.704.80, making him the first ever millionaire winner from the Isle of Man.
Factory worker Jimmy has spent 47 years at the Ronaldsway Aircraft Company but now plans to hand in his notice.
He didn't realise he had won until he came into work on Monday and a work colleague took a crumpled list of the winning numbers from the bin.
He was stunned and still does not know how he'll spend his booty, although a host of options await him.
"At the moment I haven't a clue what to do with my winnings," he said.
Other recent lottery winners include a syndicate of Manchester postal workers who won £9,355,603 on a Triple Rollover draw.
