By Becky Turner on Wednesday, 20 Jun 2007 A lucky couple have scooped a lottery jackpot after a tarot card reader predicted they would.
Stephen and Janette Wright went to a tarot reading in 1999 in which it was predicted that the couple would share a "substantial" amount of money.
Eight years passed since that day and the couple would have been forgiven for forgetting about the prediction until the Lotto draw on Saturday June 16th.
The Wrights had bought a Lucky Dip ticket and were astonished when their numbers came up, giving them a three-way share of a £4.9 million jackpot.
It meant that the pair walked away with £1.63 million and 41-year-old Janette claims that she always had faith that the prediction would come true.
"I believed - but never dreamed it could be this much money," she told the Sun.
Stephen, on the other hand, had less faith but has been completely won over by the incident.
"I never really believed in stuff like that but I'll never giggle at it again," he promised.
The happy couple are still recovering from the shock of the win and said that they have not really planned what they will do with the cash but do intend to buy houses for their eldest sons and go on a few holidays.
