By Sarah Smithon Monday, 10 Dec 2007 A Loughborough woman has lucked-in this Christmas while playing the bingo.
The lucky lady has scooped an amazing £33,000 playing the game at the Beacon Club in Baxter Gate after being a dedicated member of the club ever since it opened 30 years ago.
She told the National Bingo: "I couldnt remember a thing about what happened after it was announced how much I had won.
"I was stunned and my sister and sister-in-law were as shocked as me
[but] it's especially nice to win at this time of year."
The lady, who wishes to remain anonymous, plays at the club four times per week with her sister and sister-in-law, with whom she is sharing her prize money.
As well as scooping the prize money of £33,333 she also bagged the house prize of £80.
Two other players in Scunthorpe and Liverpool also won the National Bingo Game prize of £100,000 that evening, scooping a share of the money after calling house in just 45 balls.
