By Becky Turner on Thursday, 29 Jun 2006 A bingo winner's luck rubbed off on a woman from Wales, who in turn won a jackpot of more than £50,000, the National Bingo Game Association reports.
The woman was playing at the Argos Club in Market Street, Llanelli and ended up sitting back-to-back with another woman who had won more than £100,000 at the club. She ended up scoring a total of £51,268.
"The luck must have rubbed off from Florence as they were rubbing backs," said Argos manager Nigel Griffiths. "She won £109,115 here a few years ago."
Mr Griffiths is now considering putting up a plaque on the lucky seat, saying 'Big National Game winners sit here please'.
The latest winner, who began playing bingo seven years ago, has a son and four grandsons who are going to be treated with the prize money.
"And I will have a really good holiday," she said.
