By Sarah Smithon Thursday, 8 Feb 2007 It looks like Paul McCartney might have finally had enough. The celebrated former Beatles member has announced a £25 million divorce offer to Heather Mills, with whom a drawn out separation battle has been taking place. Sir Paul, 64, is looking to avoid a drawn out court case, making the multi-million pound settlement offer to have the whole thing over and done with after months of battling, according to reports. It is thought that with the new offer on the table, lawyers on both sides of the argument are closer than ever before to reaching a final agreement. "He is absolutely determined to keep his private life hidden from public scrutiny," a source told the Mirror. "The divorce has been dragging on nine months. There's war weariness creeping in." Under plans outlined by legal teams, 39 year-old Heather, a former model, is set to receive a lump sum while the pair's three year-old daughter Beatrice is most likely to receive a trust fund of her own.
