By Sarah Smithon Monday, 22 May 2006 It looks like Madonna's latest world tour is going to be her most daring and outrageous ever. Madge began the Confessions tour by controversially crossing a picket line manned by stagehands at the Forum, a venue in Los Angeles, but the gig was a clear success. The first date on her tour, which will come to the UK at the end of July, saw the pop diva dressed in S&M-style riding gear, a reference to her well-publicised riding accident. The 47-year-old singer began her set by emerging from a mirror ball and went through a total of seven costume changes. At one stage she was suspended from a mirrored cross a stunt that's sure to provoke anger from the Christian community. But Madonna, who is well-known for her raunchy performances, is no stranger to being controversial. The Confessions tour also features images of President Bush and Tony Blair side-by-side with pictures of Adolf Hitler and Osama bin Laden, among others. The set list included Like A Virgin, Ray of Light, Music and Erotica.
