By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 18 Jun 2008 A Maesteg mum of two has won £30,000 playing bingo, it has been reported.
Claire Evans, aged 38, made her winnings at the Castle Club in Bridgend and is intending to honour a prize-share agreement she made with the friend she went to the bingo hall with.
The lucky lady is currently employed as a support worker for adults with learning difficulties.
Claire told the National Bingo that winning was "fantastic" but noted that she was in "complete and utter shock" when it was announced how much she had won.
She added: "Everybody was so pleased for me. I'm going to buy my husband the new motorbike he wants and then I'll be wise and put the rest in a savings account."
Many bingo fans also play the game online at website such as Wink Bingo, Kiss my Bingo and Mecca Bingo.
At Wink Bingo this month players are being given the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to New York to mark the recent release of the Sex and the City film.
