By Penny Walker on Monday, 18 Aug 2008 A man from Airdrie netted a £36,000 bingo jackpot while playing at Club 3000 in Coatbrigde.
The punter has been attending the bingo hall since it opened and his devotion finally paid off when he scooped £32,720 on the National Bingo Game and an additional £3,265 regional prize, according to the competition's official website.
A total of £65,440 was available on the night, but the Airdrie resident had to share the prize with a player from Boston in Lincolnshire who also got a full house in 44 numbers.
The winner commented: "I'm going to use the money to take my daughter on holiday, either somewhere in England near a bingo hall, or maybe to Ireland as Ive always wanted to go there."
A few months previously, another player at the Scottish club won a world record £1.2 million.
On Friday August 15th, Foxy Bingo ran a super prize night with over £3,000 worth of jackpots to be won.
