Ping01, as the player is known to the internet bingo world, won the five-figure sum after getting his eyes down on the Gods of the Nile game at the portal.
He got in touch with Mecca Bingo to explain what happened when he realised he had won the big cash prize.
"I called into Mecca customer services to have it confirmed - it was great and at the same time unbelievable," Ping01 remarked.
He added that he just "couldn't believe" he had won so much money, and indicated that he has only been playing at the site for a few months.
