By Becky Turner on Thursday, 25 May 2006 A mother of five from Scotland has won more than £100,000 in a massive bingo jackpot.
The 40-year-old, from Dunfermline, only joined the Carlton Club at the Fife Leisure Club last month, the National Bingo Game Association reports. But she struck lucky when she was playing the National Game and walked away with a cool £100,230.
At first she didn't realise that she was playing in the National Game when she called house. "It was the lassies on the next table who said you are in with a chance and then I couldn't stop shaking or carry on playing," she said.
"I can't stop smiling; I'm chuffed to bits," she added. "It's a dream come true, a great feeling, but something you only think happens to others, not to you."
The woman and her husband have five daughters between the ages of eight and 17 and the couple are now planning a trip to Disney World in Florida.
