By Sarah Smithon Monday, 6 Nov 2006 A mum from Peterborough is celebrating after scooping a bingo jackpot of more than £200,000.
The woman, who has asked not to be named, reached a full house in 40 numbers while playing at Gala Bingo, before needing to be calmed down with a stiff drink.
As well as the £200,000 jackpot, the woman scored a regional prize of £1,518 and the house prize of £318.
Speaking to the Evening Telegraph, the lucky lady said: "I've never been so lucky in my whole life.
"Now I'm going to make sure my children get the best Christmas ever and we're all going to go out for lunch so I won't even have to cook."
However, Peterborough's Gala Bingo hall is no stranger to large wins, as a 72-year-old great-grandmother from the city recently won a tidy £103,183 sum.
In fact, Peterborough has been rated as the seventh-luckiest bingo city in the country.
