By Penny Walker on Tuesday, 9 May 2006 A woman from Brighouse has won a whopping £100,000 in a national bingo game. The mother-of-two, who does not want to be named, got a full house at the Mecca bingo club in St Thomas Road, Huddersfield a week last Friday. There were 500 clubs playing the game across the nation but the Brighouse woman managed to complete her full house in just 40 numbers a lower call than anyone else. She celebrated with a bottle of champagne and a Chinese takeaway and will now be taking a holiday with her mother and sister. "The first thing we are all going to do is go to Euro Disney together with our families," she told the Brighouse Echo. "We all live very near to each other and are very close." The 40-year-old, who works part time as a personal banking manager, has been visiting the Mecca Bingo club for more than 20 years and has previously won £600. Nothing could prepare her for the huge £100,000 win, however. "Earlier on in the evening, a man two tables away from us won £900 and I thought, 'how lucky is he?' Little did we know what was to come," she said. She also plans to spend some of the money on a new dining table and chairs.
