By Sarah Smithon Monday, 17 Mar 2008 Supposed love-cheat Ashley Cole is set to buy his wife Cheryl a new wedding ring, according to reports.
A source told the Mirror that Ashley is "crushed" when he sees the Girls Aloud singer out without her old ring and is looking to get in her good books by purchasing a new one, for twice the price.
Expected to spend at least £160,000 on a new gold band, the Chelsea star is said to be "desperate for them to move on".
The newspaper's source said: "He wants Cheryl to have the choice of wearing something new if she can't face wearing the old one because it brings back bad memories."
The Mirror notes that while Ashley appears to have given up on his party lifestyle after the revelations over possible affairs, Cheryl has been spotted enjoying nights out with fellow Girls Aloud members Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts.
Meanwhile, the England full-back was recently voted Worst Celebrity Husband by eve Magazine.
