By Sarah Smithon Monday, 15 Jan 2007 Australian singing star Kylie Minogue was forced to cut-short a show in Manchester and cancel two other dates due to ill health.
Kylie, who recently recovered from treatment for breast cancer, apologised to fans at the MEN Arena saying she had a cold, the BBC reports.
Launching her Showgirl Homecoming Tour earlier this year, the singer is due to play a further two concerts on Thursday and Friday.
A spokesman for the star said: "Kylie has been diagnosed by doctors as having a moderately severe respiratory tract infection and doctors have insisted that she not perform in the immediate future."
Some of Kylie's devoted fans were said to have been upset that the singer seemed to be so unwell while on stage, Australian newspaper the Herald Sun reports.
A member of the audience, Alice Kennet, 27, told the newspaper that despite the singer's attempts to "reassure" the crowd, "many people were crying".
