Norton says new show will get people broody

By Sarah Smithon Thursday, 13 Mar 2008

TV presenter Graham Norton has suggested that his latest foray into the prime-time talent show will get the British population aching for a new addition to the family!

BBC One's I'd Do Anything follows on from the success of How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? and Any Dream Will Do and aims to find the perfect Oliver Twist for the West End show.

However Norton told the Mirror that the talent hunt could also raise the UK's birth rate with parents panging for their own version of the loveable contestants fighting for the chance to play young Oliver.

"They are adorable. Across the country 1,000 ovaries will pop. People who gave up having kids will say, 'Why don't we try again?' "

The anticipated television programme hits UK screen on Saturday 15th March at 19:30 GMT, with the first show charting the journeys of thousands of hopefuls as they tread the boards in the regional auditions.
