The current economic situation has affected player levels at one bingo business in the UK, it has been announced.
Top Ten Holdings, which also has online bingo games under the banner Top Ten Bingo, held its annual general meeting (AGM) yesterday, and it was revealed that the recession is "affecting the number of times [its] customers visit the clubs".
Sir Aubrey Brocklebank, non-executive chairman of Top Ten Holdings, did say that trading was in line with board expectations, however.
In a pre-released statement for the AGM, Sir Aubrey remarked: "The spend per head has recovered to that of last year."
He added that turnover "appears to have stabilised at a reduced level" and recent cost-cutting has contributed to company cash flow.
As well as providing online bingo for numbers game enthusiasts, Top Ten Bingo has halls across the UK, including properties in Mansfield, Yeovil and Leeds.
