By Becky Turner on Tuesday, 5 Sep 2006 A great grandmother has gone a tenth of the way towards becoming a millionaire after she scooped an astonishing £100,000 on the bingo.
The 82 year-old was playing at the Stardust Club in Corby, which played host to another big winner recently.
"We are certainly on a winning streak at present," manager Tom Haworth told the National Bingo Game Association. "As all good things come in threes, we are expecting another big win very soon."
The fortunate octogenarian, who won a total of £101,225, has been playing at the Stardust Club since it first opened three decades ago. She will use the money to treat her family.
"She told me she had three children, three grandchildren and a great grandchild," Mr Haworth continued. "She said she would be helping her family with the money."
