By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 7 Feb 2007 A local bingo player in Peterhead beat players from across the country to bag a top prize of £200,000 in a Gala National Bingo Game, but the lucky mum of two will be splitting the win with her own mum. Michelle Womersley couldn't believe her luck when she called house on 40 numbers, leading her to the grand bingo jackpot of £200,000, along with a regional Gala bingo prize of £1,273 and a house prize of £70. The 27 year-old mother of one will be splitting the win with her mum, who usually plays bingo with her daughter but couldn't make it on the day of the win. Michelle recalls the moment when her luck came through in the local bingo hall. "I broke down in tears when I realised I had won," she told the Buchan Observer. "I had to have a double vodka to get over the shock!" She now plans to put the money towards a new house with a garden for her kids to play in. The Gala club at Enfield has had three UK bingo winners to date, the last of whom was a 57 year-old Chingford resident.
