Christmas came early for the lucky lady from Heaton Norris when she bagged herself £45,000 playing bingo this week.
The 50-year-old housewife, who has been playing bingo at the Gala Bingo club on Newbridge Lane in Stockport since it opened 11 years ago, will now be able to treat herself to a special festive celebration.
Manager of the Gala Bingo club, Sean Connolly, told the National Bingo: "She was over the moon when we told her how much she had won. She said what a lovely surprise and it was going to be a most wonderful Christmas for her and her family."
He added: "There was a great atmosphere in the club too. Everyone was delighted for her and clapped and cheered when it was announced."
The National Bingo prize that night was £90,000 but another lucky player in Bradford called house in 40 numbers and shared the winnings.
