By Sarah Smithon Monday, 14 May 2007 A 47-year-old woman has won big at her local bingo hall after experiencing a "premonition" which told her to play bingo.
The unnamed woman decided that she should follow her hunch that she should play and was soon sitting down to play bingo games.
She attended her local Mecca club after taking out the last few pounds from her account and spent the evening praying that she could bag the bingo jackpot.
It did not seem as though her prayers would be answered until close to the end of the night when she struck it lucky to claim a prize of £102,000.
The woman says that she already has plans for the money, including helping her children to get onto the property ladder and returning to her second home country of Canada.
She has previously lived in the country for 30 years before returning to the UK just four years ago.
