By Sarah Smithon Friday, 21 Sep 2007 Pint-size rocker, Prince, performed his legendary hit You've Got the Look for trendy onlookers at London Fashion Week.
The 49-year-old sat in the front row of Mathew Williamson's show next to Trudie Styler, wife of fellow 80s rocker Sting before jumping on stage for a surprise performance.
"He really wanted to do this, and you don't say no to Prince," top designer, Williamson, told Reuters, also revealing that he had only ever met the American star once before the impromptu gig.
It is rumoured that Chelsea Rodgers, Prince's model-girlfriend, is a big fan of Williamson's clothes and may have influenced the Purple Rain-star's decision to perform.
Other celebs spotted at fashion week include Kate Moss, film director Quentin Tarantino and Stella McCartney, who made her London Fashion Week debut at the Westway sports centre in Notting Hill.
Prince's performance follows a 21-date UK tour, during which the artist gave away free copies of his album to anyone with a ticket for his shows. He famously changed his name to a symbol following a bust-up with former record label Warner Bros.
