The widow, who wishes to remain anonymous, was playing at her local bingo club in Wandsworth when she hit the jackpot.
She said that it took her “until the next day” for the reality of just how much she had won to sink in.
“Everybody in the club was jumping up and down when my win was announced, but I just sat there in surprise,” she added.
As well as winning the National Bingo game prize, the lucky lady also won the house prize of £315, which isn’t bad for someone who has only been playing for a year.
Although, following this big win she says that she is going to “start playing every day.”
