The drug-shamed star was convinced to seek help after the Sun published a video of her taking crack along with a cocktail of other illegal substances in her London pad.
Cabbie dad Mitch pleaded with his daughter to seek help after seeing the video and shortly after the singer entered rehab at Capio Nightingale hospital, where she is currently going cold turkey.
However, the beehived star has experienced severe withdrawal symptoms from the class a drug and was rushed to a private London clinic on Wednesday evening.
Amy was put on a drip after she was left dangerously dehydrated as her body coped with being drug-starved.
The Sun's doctor, Carol Cooper, said: "Going on a drip is a sign that things have got pretty bad. Crack is notoriously difficult to get off."
Executive's at Amy's record label were hoping that she would be able to kick her drug addiction in time for the US Grammy Awards evening this month, where she is nominated for an impressive six awards.
Meanwhile, her bad-boy hubby Blake is behind bars awaiting trial after, it is alleged, he tried to pervert the course of justice by attempting to bribe a witness in a court case.
