He will make a recording with 73-year-old Indian megastar Asha Bhosle, whose career spans six decades, reports Female First.
No details of the song title have been disclosed, although Robbie will feature on the two-time Grammy Award nominee's Asha and Friends LP.
A source told the news provider: "Asha has already recorded her part of the song. Robbie was keen to work with her after she was nominated for a second time for a Grammy Award."
Asha is thought to have sung over 12,000 different songs during the course of her career, which began in 1943.
She has also provided the playback material for more than 925 Bollywood movies and is considered one of south Asia's most versatile singers, embracing anything folk to pop and classical.
