Given his history of dating, and marrying, much younger women, it only seems right that Rod Stewart should let Tommy Lee date his daughter Kimberley.
The Scottish singer has welcomed the advances of the 44-year old Motley Crue drummer despite his chequered past, which has included two failed marriages, including one to Pamela Anderson.
Rod was overheard praising his daughter's suitor when he met up with him along with his two daughters and wife Penny Lancaster for lunch at London's Soho Hotel recently.
According to a source, the 62-year old was won over when Tommy Lee tried to pick up the 27-year-old Kimberley in a helicopter, but had forgotten to obtain permission to land.
"I've tried some manoeuvres in my time to pursue a woman, but I've got to admit this is a pretty strong move," Rod said, according to a Daily Mirror source.
"Attempting to land a helicopter in my garden just to impress my daughter... That is quite something!"
Rod famously warned Russell Brand to stay away from his daughters after the comedian made some pretty inappropriate comments at last year's GQ Man of the Year Awards.
The romantic developments come as Kimberley prepares to film her new reality TV show "Living With Kimberley Stewart" which will follow her as she searches for new flat mates.
