By Sarah Smithon Friday, 17 Nov 2006 Former Corrie star Sarah Lancashire has ruled out the possibility of ever returning to the soap.
The actress, who played dizzy barmaid Raquel Watts, said that she wouldn't go back even if the producers offered her £1 million.
Raquel became a firm favourite with the shows viewers, spending a total of six years on the cobbles.
Some 22 million viewers tuned in to see her character marry Curly Watts, while her brief return in 1999 also brought huge ratings.
Sarah told the Manchester Evening News: "I'd never go back, at all.
"I was persuaded to do the millennium episode and that was it."
Since leaving Corrie, she has managed to shake off Raquel's dizzy blonde image and achieve success in a variety of dramas, such as Murder Most Horrid and Where the Heart Is.
