The figure 666, otherwise known as the "number of the beast", is derived from the final book of the Bible, Revelation. Chapter 13, Verse 18 apparently references the coming of the Devil, saying "his number is six hundred threescore and six". Hence the sixth day of the sixth month of the sixth year strikes terror into the breasts of hexakosioihexekontahexaphobes people who have a fear of the beastly number. According to the BBC, a woman who weighed six pounds and six ounces when she was born on June the sixth today turned 66. She refused to drive in case she jinxed herself and others on the road.
