By Sarah Smithon Friday, 5 Oct 2007 The Spice Girls have made headlines again today after announcing that they will release a new single.
The single, aptly named Headlines, coincides with their forthcoming world tour which sold out in just 38 seconds.
Ginger, Posh, Baby, Scary and Sporty, as they were nicknamed by axed pop magazine Smash Hits in the mid-nineties, will release a new album on November 12th and the single a week later.
Geri Halliwell broke the news on GMTV this morning.
She said on the ITV show: "Emma and I originally started work on it with some writer we used to collaborate with and then the other girls chipped in with some lyrics. It feels like a Spice Classic."
The girls' worldwide tour will kick off in Canada and will be the first time Geri has performed with the four other band members since she left in May 1998.
Since then each of the girls have had solo careers with varying degrees of success.
