By Penny Walker on Wednesday, 30 May 2007 A student nurse probably needed to check her blood pressure was OK after she scooped £20,000 playing bingo.
The woman, who only wants to be known as Erin, walked away with the jackpot from the National game after playing at the Mecca Club in Hamilton.
The 22-year-old went to the bingo hall with her mum and was absolutely delighted when her numbers came up during the Afternoon Delight game.
Erin probably thought that she was never going to win big after she narrowly missed out on a £100,000 jackpot just three months ago.
She says that the win could not have come at a better time however, as she is currently being prevented from taking part in her favourite sport, kick boxing.
Unfortunately, Erin picked up a serious knee injury so cannot compete but at least she has £20,000 to keep her occupied now.
"This win is great," she said. "I couldnāt believe it at first though, and my mum was gobsmacked."
Erin says that she will spend the money on a holiday for her and her boyfriend, as well as renovating the garden in her new house and sending her parents on holiday too.
