By Sarah Smithon Tuesday, 5 Dec 2006 The Sun has teamed up with Wallace and Gromit's Children's Foundation to help raise money for children with illnesses this Christmas.
Children will benefit from projects supported by the foundation that provide toys to play with, which can help many to deal with their illness, the newspaper reports.
Commenting on how the Naomi House Hospice, an organisation supported by the foundation, is helping her daughter, Paula Whitehead, 38, told the Sun that the family can spend "quality time" with her child while there.
"Everything is taken care of for us, the washing, cooking, shopping and ironing. It's good to be able to count down to a number of weeks when we can go there again with the children," she said.
The foundation supports a number of projects, including arts and entertainments programmes, providing support to meet the costs of running children's hospices and assisting with the obtaining medical facilities.
Every year the charity organises a Wrong Trousers fundraising day, encouraging school children to wear "funny" trousers and to make donations to help the foundation continue with its work.
