Superman actor Brandon Routh has flown into London's Leicester Square for the UK premiere of Superman Returns. The film has received rave reviews and is currently raking in dollars at the US box office faster than a speeding bullet. Routh, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the previous silver screen Superman, Christopher Reeve, plays the Man of Steel alongside Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane and Kevin Spacey as the dastardly Lex Luthor. "I was aware of the great legacy, not only of Superman, but also of Christopher Reeve," said Routh of his facially-similar hero. "He's the one that made me love Superman, watching him perform." However, Routh explained that acting the part of a superhero could be tough: "You have to try to imagine what it's like to be the most powerful person on earth and there's no room for fear in that." The new Superman movie was directed by Bryan Singer, who made his name with crime thriller The Usual Suspects. Richard Donner, the director of the original film, was impressed with Singer's vision when he watched Superman Returns at its US premiere.
