By Sarah Smithon Tuesday, 9 Dec 2008 This year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here winner Joe Swash has talked of the "amazing" experience he had in the Australian jungle while filming the ITV show.
Swash, who played Mickey Miller in BBC1 soap EastEnders, beat tennis legend Martina Navratilova to win the annual reality TV programme.
Star Trek actor George Takei finished third in the competition, which involved getting to know nature and TV audiences voting contestants out of the jungle.
The actor won the competition after being favoured by the viewers watching back in the UK.
"It was just a lovely experience and I'm definitely coming out a much maturer man than I was when I went in there," explained Swash. "It's been worthwhile."
I'm A Celebrity... has become a regular fixture on British TV screens over the last few years.
One previous series saw singer Peter Andre meet glamour model Katie Price, which resulted in them getting married and becoming two of the best-known celebrities in the UK.
