By Becky Turner on Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 A 73-year-old Swindon woman is celebrating after winning more than £10,000 at a Gala club in her hometown, according to National Bingo.
The lucky winner had never won more than £10 before Sunday, when she netted £10,000 plus the house prize of £80 on the National Bingo Afternoon Delight game.
She shared the £20,000 national prize with another player in Stockton, who also completed a full house in 44 calls.
The win has come as shock to the woman, who told National Bingo that she had been playing "for years and years and years".
She will stick to a long-term pact by sharing her winnings with her daughter and plans to spend her money on a family holiday to Spain and some "bits and pieces" for her home.
