By Sarah Smithon Friday, 10 Nov 2006 Take That have dismissed suggestions of a reunion with ex-bandmate Robbie Williams, saying that he will never sing with the group again.
Singer Howard Donald said that they didn't know Robbie anymore and that it wasn't a good idea to let a stranger into the band, as they didn't know what was going on in his head.
Rumours of a possibly one-off reunion have been rife after the 90s boyband reformed earlier this year for a sell-out tour and new album.
Meanwhile, Robbie's glittering career has begun to stutter with disappointing sales for his latest album, which has been largely panned by critics.
Howard told the Daily Mirror: "If we have big success with this album - really big success - then to let him back when we don't really know him any more would be a mistake.
"The others may have some opinions on this, but I don't think we need him."
Robbie's woes have been compounded with legal action by from his former manager Nigel Martin-Smith, as well as plagiarism case by songwriter Ashley Hamilton.
