A Thanet care assistant is extremely happy after winning more than £25,000 on the Afternoon Delight Bingo game.
The 58-year-old will share her winnings – a total of £26,178 – with a friend she plays bingo with at the Nobles Crown Club in Margate. Her friend was with her when she landed the win on September 2nd, a Saturday.
"She was so excited when I called my last number because she was convinced I must have won, but I didn't believe I could possibly have won the National," the woman said.
"When it was confirmed, I just sat there in shock."
With the winnings, the woman aims to visit Florida with her husband for a vacation.
"We couldn't have afforded a holiday without this win," she claimed, "so we're really going to make sure we enjoy ourselves. It's fantastic!"
