By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 13 Dec 2006 Tickets for a concert in memory of Diana organised by Prince William and Price Harry have sold out a day after plans for the event were announced.
To be held at the new Wembley Stadium, the concert, which is expected to be attended by 60,000 people in July next year, will feature Sir Elton John, Bryan Ferry and Duran Duran, the Mirror reports.
On sale from 9am on Wednesday, the £45 tickets sold out within 30 minutes, although the concert's official website said there may be more tickets available for the event in the new year, reports CNN.
Announcing the concert, Prince William, 24, said: "We wanted to have this big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness which I know she would have wanted."
According to CNN, after the website announced that the initial allocation had been sold out, tickets were already being sold on eBay for as much as £200 each.
