By Sarah Smithon Friday, 14 Sep 2007 Timbaland has told derailing songstress Britney Spears to "say I'm sorry", after her catastrophic performance at the VMAs last week.
The veteran music producer who offered to work with Spears on her new album said: "She should humble herself and make a phone call and say,' I'm sorry.' She knows what she's sorry about."
Louisiana pop sensation, Britney, has taken a nose-dive in the last few months after a legal feud with ex-hubby, K-Fed, and criticism of her parenting skills from the US media.
Her opening VMA performance was set to be her big comeback. But instead it proved to be another disaster as Britney failed to impress, looking vacant on stage.
To make matters worse, the 25 year-old's come back song, Gimme More, has limped into the Billboard charts at a pathetic number 85.
At one time Britney Spears was one of the most successful recording artists in the charts, and heart-throb for men world-wide.
Now critics are asking, will we ever get Britney back?
