By Becky Turner on Thursday, 8 Mar 2007 The local Mecca Bingo club in Cwmbran recently played centre stage to a pair of massive bingo wins, with two bingo winners calling house on huge bingo prizes totalling more than £45,000.
A 73 year-old and 62 year-old were laughing all the way to bank after scooping top bingo prizes at the club, which was definitely touched with a stroke of luck earlier this month.
After completing full house in 45 numbers the first winner took home an impressive £20,000 grand bingo prize in the Afternoon Delight National Game in addition to the regional prize of £520 and a £74 house prize.
Meanwhile the second winner won a £25,000 national prize, sharing a £100,000 grand prize with three other players in other parts of the UK. Luck was definitely in the air for the fortunate winner, who claims that two of her lucky birthday numbers came up in her win.
"The last number I called on was six, the month of my birthday, and the total numbers I called on was 44, the year of my birth," she told National Bingo Game.
Mecca Bingo also offers online bingo games, with current offers including half-price sessions for members, who will still be able to win 100 per cent of the prize money.
