By Becky Turner on Thursday, 24 Aug 2006 An unemployed man from Walsall has landed a staggering £100,000 bingo jackpot.
The 23-year-old had only been playing bingo for two months when he visited the Gala Club in Walsall's Jerome retail park with his girlfriend, the National Bingo Game Association reports.
He plans to start his own business with the money, although he's not sure exactly what kind yet - one possibility is opening a café.
"This whole thing is amazing," he said. "I couldn't believe it when I realised I had won. There are so many possibilities available to me now."
The man also wants to treat his family, including his four year-old son, with some of the winnings. He's not sure what it will be, but it will be "something special".
Now he's a committed bingo player. He was shocked that he scored such a big win after only playing for two months, but said: "I'll definitely continue playing bingo now!"
