William Hill said that so much money had been placed on the England star and his fiancee that it was forced to cut its odds on the pair four times before closing the book.
Charlotte Church and Welsh rugby star Gavin Henson later emerged as favourites on the amended list to reach the altar first, with Prince William and Kate Middleton close behind.
Rupert Adams, spokesman for the firm, said: "We are hoping that the rush of money for Wayne and Coleen was an ill-informed Chinese whispers rumour but do not hold out much hope."
Also included on the list are Teddy Sheringham and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Danielle Lloyd - as well as Russell Brand and "any female".
The Daily Star reports that Wayne and Coleen spent Valentine's Day at Manchester's Lounge Ten restaurant.
