A couple who plan to get married next year have struck it lucky at the bingo hall, it has been revealed.
The National Bingo website reports that 30-year-old Jayne Rose from Stourbridge, who is due to tie the knot with Lee Whitehouse in 2009, won more than £17,000 playing the numbers game last week.
Ms Rose's windfall came at the Mecca Bingo club in Oldbury and was welcomed by husband-to-be Mark.
Apparently, Mark was "very excited" when his fiancee rang to shed the good news.
Commenting further, Ms Rose said: "I couldn't believe it and I couldn't sign the papers after I had won because I was so shocked."
This comes after an anonymous bingo player at Gala Bingo in Chatham walked away with £34,000 after a night of numbers game fun.
According to the National Bingo site, the player was a 53-year-old woman.
