By Becky Turner on Tuesday, 23 May 2006 A young mother from Weymouth has hit the jackpot at the Gala Bingo club in Crescent Street and taken home over £20,000.
The 23-year-old mum of one, who did not wish to be named, has been playing bingo for three years. She said she and her mum usually win something every time they go to bingo, but the biggest win she had landed before this was £800 on a link game.
She was at the Gala club on Sunday, May 14th, when she completed a full house in 45 numbers and won a National Bingo Game, netting herself a cool £20,000. Added to that, she won the Regional prize of £511.
"I still can't believe it – it's taking a while to sink in," she said, adding that the worst bit about it was waiting for twenty minutes for the results to come through.
She is planning to spend the money on a holiday.
