By Becky Turner on Tuesday, 26 Sep 2006 A widow from Patna has won a huge £100,000 on the bingo at the Mecca Club in Boswell Park, Ayr, the National Bingo Game Association reports.
The woman, who has a healthy seven children, a whopping 31 grandchildren and a staggering 12 great-grandchildren, won an astounding £101,036 jackpot.
It was a terrific moment for the 68-year-old, who has been playing bingo for years and plays every night with friends, but it was tinged with sadness.
"It's very good news," she explained, "but I cried when I realised I had won because I wished my husband was still here to see it".
With the winnings she is planning to treat her large family, as well as do a spot of home improvement.
"I want new furniture, a new three piece suite, new flooring and new doors," she said.
